Slope Stability Determinations

Our slope stability determination process includes:.

Identifying rockfall hazards and recommending slope stability mitigation methods.
Using Colorado Rockfall Simulation Program (CRSP) to determine rockfall hazards and potential slope reconfigurations to minimize rockfall occurrence. (CRSP studies can be utilized to insure mine plans provide a safe working environment)
Using Rock Pack and CRSP software to evaluate slope safety factors, which are recognized as industry standards for slope stability evaluations by MSHA and other regulatory agencies.

Forensic Geology

We provide forensic geology services to the legal and law-enforcement community (judges, attorneys, and police) to evaluate forensic geological evidence. Evidence may include the presence of materials not native (transported) to a site or crime scene. Or it may include detection, identification and characterization of material being present on shoes (especially soles), clothing, on or in vehicles, vehicle frames, tires, etc. Analytical tools and instruments used in forensic geology investigations include stereozoom binocular microscopes, petrographic microscopes, x-ray diffraction (XRD), scanning election microscopes, electron microprobes, geologic maps and air photos. Most cases require 'chain-of custody' procedures for evidence collection or review.

UAV based data collection is typically safer and significantly less costly than traditional survey or other ground-based systems.
